The handcrafted and new wave pastry trends gain more and more volume in our country too, but besides these stores there are some old fashioned and prestigious places either like the Gerbeaud Confectionery from the 19th century with its varitey of traditional hungarian cakes and sweets.
Luckily most of the confectioneries offer diabetic or gluten-free pastry too.
Wherever you go, definitely try one of the following traditional desserts: flodni, strudel, Somlói trifle, Dobos cake.
