One of the most exciting of the legendary Turkish steam baths dates as far back as 1570. The architecture is fascinating; a great domed hall looming high above an octagonal-shaped pool below. The temperature of the water in the two thermal baths is very pleasant, usually set at about 39 and 30°C (102-86°F), respectively. The cool-down pool is never colder than 26°C (78°F). This is an excellent place to relax, but you’ll have to leave your boyfriend or girlfriend behind, as Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are designated women’s days, and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are meant solely for men. Largely gay clientele.

The Rudas Thermal Baths was built more than 450 years ago in Budapest during the Turkish era. Since 2014 it offers a new wellness section and a sauna world. A unique programme is bathing in the panorama pool in the rooftop.
