The Airport is well accessible by car from any point of Budapest. The Airport can be reached in 20-60 minutes from the City by the ’High-Speed Airport Road’. Furthermore Budapest Airport offers the usual services to arriving and departing passengers (shopping, car rental, VAT refund etc.).

Taxi

​

Főtaxi is Budapest Airport’s contracted taxi service and transports passengers from the terminals to Budapest at a reliable fare structure. Taxi drivers speaking at least one foreign language are in service with large, category ‘A’ cars younger than five years. All cars are equipped with a bank card (POS) terminal, therefore credit cards are also accepted.
Reservations can be made in person at the Főtaxi booths located at the exits at Terminals 2A and 2B.

A ride to the city centre should typically cost around HUF 7,500-8,000 HUF (EUR 23-25 / USD 26-28) depending on traffic conditions.

Public Transport
(Airport Express - 100E Bus)

Airport shuttle bus 100E Airport Express is in operation between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Deák Ferenc tér, one of Budapest’s major transport hubs, running via Kálvin tér, another important location in the city. 

Bus 100E Airport Express provides a convenient, cost-effective, and fast connection between the airport and the city center. The bus service operates around the clock, seven days a week:

• every 6-10 minutes on Mondays and Fridays, during the day

• every 7-10 minutes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, during the day

• every 10-15 in the mornings and evenings 

• every 30-40 minutes on average at night

​Please note that bus line 100E Airport Express is to be used only with the 2,200 HUF Airport Shuttle Bus Single Ticket, which can be purchased on the Budapest Pay&GO device with bankcard on board.
